More information on the Prepare-Enrich premarital counseling program

I am a certified facilitator of the Prepare-Enrich program, an empirically-supported premarital program which has been used worldwide to help guide over 4 million couples to gain a deeper understanding of their dynamics, strengths, and opportunities for growth. It is an unbiased, strengths-oriented assessment used to direct conversations in important topic areas including communication, relationship roles, financial management, parenting, conflict resolution, culture, and beliefs. It is an especially powerful tool due to its adaptability to unique factors of each couple. Some additional areas of discussion could be step parenting, intergenerational concerns, becoming parents, and interfaith couples.

Studies on the effectiveness of the program indicate that couples who complete the program with a facilitator experience increased marital satisfaction, communication, and conflict resolution skills. The process stimulates curiosity and intimacy, while teaching tangible skills to continue fortifying your relationship.

What can you expect?

Logistically

Please call with questions and to set up an initial consultation visit, during which I will provide information on the program and discuss next steps. The number of sessions will vary; typically you can expect between 6-10 sessions. The cost of sessions will be discussed on the phone and is my standard fee for couples' sessions. The only additional cost will be $35 per couple for the assessment.

Emotionally

You can expect to have conversations you may not have discussed with your partner before, which may feel vulnerable at first. That being said, many couples report enjoying the program and experiencing an increase in relationship satisfaction. I am here to be your champion and guide- our work together will be strengths-focused to help you be able to best support one another with a better awareness of your individual and couple dynamics.

Prepare-Enrich also has a program for families/parents and a check-up version for couples wanting to check in on how their relationship may have changed over the years.
